There is no cost to the trainee for training at the Training Center.
All trainees receive a $2.00 per hour training allowance.
Trainees who commute will receive a $5.00 per day commute allowance.
Health and Welfare and Pension contributions will be paid on an hourly
basis to those taking an advanced class, (advanced classes require the trainee to have worked as a union laborer prior to
enrollment).
Those trainees who choose to live on campus will be provided living
quarters with housekeeping service and meals. Trainees who commute will receive breakfast and lunch.
Arrangements with the California Employment Development Department allow
you to draw unemployment benefits while training.
